Chandeliers, big screen televisions, coordinated color schemes, and plush seating aren't the typical decor associated with a barbershop, but First Class Barber Shop is not the typical barbershop.  "We believed from the start that our communities deserved something better than what they were getting, as far as a barbershop environment," said Ronald T. McKenzie. First Class Barber Shop, Inc. is building large shops, with an average of 14 to 18 barber chairs per shop to accommodate busy customers who don't have a lot of time on their hands.  The company has also strived to keep their shops clean and professional, emphasing customer service skills to ensure customers feel comfortable, receive top of the line service and are treated with respect.  First Class Barber Shop, Inc. is run by three partners, Stanley B. Powell President/CEO, Ronald T. McKenzie Vice-President/CFO and Al Alston Chief Operating Officer. First Class Barber Shop, Inc. opened its first shop in 1996 and has opened several other shops all over the Atlanta metropolitan area.  The Mitchell Street location and the Newly Opened Moreland location, are the chain's only unisex full-service shops complete with nail techicians, barbers, cosmetologist and shoe shine services.  The company currently has approximately 75+ employees, with two managers per location.
